Once More, Into the Beach
A smattering of half-completed posts which burned to be conceived, but are now patiently awaiting the right time to be birthed. Recently watched a documentary entitled The Business of Being Born, hence the birthing metaphors (don't worry friends, the only conceiving I have been doing over here is of ideas).
In the interim, a shortish post to say that after almost a month of catching my breath (and losing it running like a madwoman in the streets) in Udaipur, I am flinging myself southwards to Kochi, Kerala. The province with the highest literacy rate, and also the most socially developed, but beaches, backwaters, and houseboats are what's really pulling me there.
35 degree temperatures and humidity will be a stark contrast to the chilly, dry Rajasthani evenings, but I'm thinking more about the smell of the ocean, fresh seafood, and the abundance of South Indian cuisine.
My last 24 hours in Udaipur to do with as I wish! I am so grateful for being time-rich in my travels, unlike the majority of travelers I have met. To be able to have the luxury to take a one month long breath and sigh is so indulgent, and was so very much needed.
